Being Profile

We are, after all, Human Beings and not Human Doings.

Ontology is the study of Ways of Being. Importantly, our Ways of Being determine our behavior. Who are you BEING right now? Curious? Inquisitive? Resourceful?

Human Beings are conditioned to DO something so we can HAVE something in order to BE something. Have you found that this way of Doing → Having → Being doesn’t produce the results you want in life despite DOING more and more? This is because your way of BEING is not aligned with what you’re DOING. For instance, if you apply for a job and your heart isn’t in it, your way of BEING will be resigned and this will supersede your actions. Your resigned way of being will speak louder than any confirming words you may speak.

We need to flip DOING → HAVING → BEING on its head and focus instead on BEING → HAVING → DOING. BEING responsible will cause you to HAVE power and thus DO something you really want.

The results we produce in life depend on who we are BEING.

Being Profile

The Being Profile is a world-first ontological tool that assesses the health of your relationship with 31 ways of being, such as courage and confidence, that are essential for success in every area of your life, and especially your leadership. Like a surgeon’s precision, the Being Profile locates areas for growth to maximise your effectiveness.

We offer a Being Profile assessment and coaching for personal and organisational development:

Individual Development

No matter how many books you read, how many seminars you attend, how much personal and professional development you undertake, is your experience of life always the same? Nothing seems to shift? Despite knowing more and doing more, the relationships and the results you want remain elusive? Consider that you need to focus on how you are being rather than on what you know and do. For instance, being caring and compassionate has a much greater impact on your effectiveness as a leader and influencer than what you know about effective communication.

Ontological development is transformational because it deals with how we are being in life not what we know and do. Simply put, our ways of being have a far greater impact on us and the world around us than either our knowledge or our achievements.

Ontological coaching is highly effective because it works at the core of who we are. Your profile combined with our coaching will support you to develop healthy ways of being that enable you to produce the results you want in your life.

Team and Organisational Development

Providing your team with the opportunity to enhance their ways of being both individually and collectively will dramatically shift the quality of the relationships, performance and leadership within your organisation. Developing healthy ways of being is crucial to your professional development program, creating a supportive climate for growth that encourages your teams to be the best they can be.

Individual and Team Being Profiles will identify key opportunities for growth within your team. Optimising your team’s ways of being is your key advantage. It will elevate performance and save you time, money and increase your profit to create a thriving and sustainable business into the future.

POSITIVE PSYCHOLOGY

Positive psychology is defined as the focus on what is right with people, including happiness, wellbeing, and human strengths. This suggests interventions based on positive psychology work to improve people’s wellbeing to create a happy, fulfilling and thriving life.

EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE

Our intelligence (IQ) might get us through school but it is our emotional intelligence or EQ that gets us through life. Unfortunately, for many of us, developing our emotional intelligence is something we ignore yet it is vital to so many areas of our life.

STRENGTHS

A strength is a pre-existing capacity for a particular way of behaving, thinking, or feeling that is authentic and energising to the user, and enables optimal functioning, development and performance. Managing your strengths is critical in your performance.

“Bernard helped me grapple with everything from self-doubt to recreating my future direction. “I have loved that our facilitator has been precise with the delivery… A program like this requires a ‘’real human’’ to deliver this. If one pretends their life is perfect, I think I would have seen this as fake and not learned as much as I have…my facilitator was open, honest and real.”

Robin Naylor, Williams, WA

This created a greater partnership with my husband as we move into our next phase of life.”

Katrina Butler, Teacher and Trainer, Perenjori, WA

“Before coaching with Bernard, I lacked the courage to ask the difficult questions in my personal and business life. I tended to avoid confrontation and I used to pretend I didn’t need the help, or I would ignore the issue and hope it would just go away. Bernard’s coaching supported me to develop my courage and assertiveness and crack through my numbness and fears. I’m now open to contribution from my business partners.”

Nathan Adams, Entrepreneur, Augusta, WA

Highly recommend her as a partner to lift your game to the next level.”
