About this event
Welcome to the Holistic Management in a Drying Climate l Restoring the Small Water Cycle three-day workshop in Albany, Western Australia.
Never has it been more urgent to restore the farm level landscape function in southern Western Australia.
Globally, Holistic Management is applied to livestock to prevent overgrazing and bared off soil.
Managed holistically, grazing animals will improve the soil and pasture. It is possible to restore landscape function so the essential ecosystem process – water cycle, mineral cycle, energy flow and community dynamics work to support the productivity of the farm business.
🌱 Key principals of Holistic Management are holistic goal setting (context), holistic decision making, ecosystem health, time & timing, monitoring & feedback, adaptive management, community & social wellbeing, and economic & ecological profitability.
Join us for a comprehensive workshop digging into the key concepts of Holistic Management, a decision-making framework for land management that collectively addresses your environmental, social, and economic concerns.
