“Good is the enemy of great”
– Jim Collins, Good to Great

The Greek philosopher Aristotle (384-322 BCE) argued that in order to attain a good life we must “strain every nerve to live in accordance with the best thing in us.”

While many of us like to think that we are good at everything we do, the reality is that we have a unique set of strengths and often a set of weaknesses as well. Even with activities we perform well we are often left feeling depleted and de-energised. If this resonates with you it is likely you are not using your strengths optimally.

In his book, Average to A+, Positive Psychologist Alex Linley defines strengths this way:

A strength is a pre-existing capacity for a particular way of behaving, thinking, or feeling that is authentic and energising to the user, and enables optimal functioning, development and performance.”

Managing your energy is critical in your performance and for each of us our strengths are either:

  • Realised Strengths – we perform well, we use often and energise us
  • Unrealised Strengths – we perform well, we use infrequently and energise us
  • Learned Behaviours – we perform well, we use often and deplete our energy
  • Weaknesses – we don’t perform well, we use infrequently and de-energise us

We offer Strengths Profiling (Cappfinity, UK) for individual and organisational development:

Individual Strengths Profile

How well and how often you use particular strengths and how they impact your energy level is critical for your performance.

Our pot of gold lies with our unrealised strengths. These are our capacities that we perform well and energise us but we do not use our unrealised strengths, or use them often enough.

Understanding your Strengths Profile and how to utilise your realised and unrealised strengths effectively will unlock your performance and potential as a leader. You will discover new ways to and bring energy to tasks that otherwise leave you drained and de-energised.

Our workshops and coaching support is designed to facilitate you to achieve excellence and create a growth mindset that will enable you to optimally use your strengths and elevate your energy level, engagement and performance at work and at home.

Team and Organisational Strengths Profile

Understanding the Strengths Profile of your team leaders and team members will dramatically shift the energy, engagement and performance of your team or organisation. You will easily identify staff who are energetically suited to:

  • drive change
  • implement creativity and innovation
  • being energized by the detail.

Your people will develop exceptional competency in strategic planning, organising, holding meetings, reporting, presenting and completing other vital tasks. By focusing on strengths rather than weaknesses you will create a culture of positive leadership and excellence, increasing performance across your organisation by more than 60%. You will create a supportive climate for growth that encourages your people to be the best they can be.

Expertly using your teams’ strengths is your key advantage, saving you time, money and increasing your profit.
